Teen Programs
Programs are held at the Main branch of the Wayne Public Library & Wayne residents get preference for sign-up availability. Registration can be done online by visiting the Event Calendar above, beginning at the designated time on the registration date.

NOTE: If you are unable to attend a program, please kindly call the library in advance. This will allow others on the waiting list to attend the program, as well as prevent waste of materials.

Teen Knitting Club

Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 4:00—5:00 PM

Young Adults in grades 5—12, are you interested in learning how to knit? Come join us as we relax and learn the basics together. Feel free to bring in your own knitting needles & yarn.

Come and develop your strategic skills and challenge a new opponent. Young Adults in grades 5—12 are welcome to play chess against our chess mentor Mr. J or each other.

Edible Arts: Reindeer Stall

But do you recall the most famous of all was Rudolph the Red nosed reindeer! But where does he stay? Where does he hang out during the rest of the year? Come join the fun as we create Rudolph and his Gingerbread Reindeer Stall. Allergy information: Although none of the items used contain nuts, some are processed in a facility that also process tree nuts and/or peanuts.

Teen Creates: Snowy Owl Pinecone Pal

Giant Word Winder

Rubber Band Racer

Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 5:00—5:45 PM

Young Adults in grades 4—12 are you up for the challenge? Come and create a race car that is propelled by a non-traditional power source. We will use a rubber band to power the racer, creating an energy source that can be used indefinitely. The ultimate challenge will be accurately stopping on the finish line.
