Programs are held at the Main branch of the Wayne Public Library & Wayne residents get preference for sign-up availability. Registration can be done online by visiting the Event Calendar above, beginning at the designated time on the registration date.

NOTE: If you are unable to attend a program, please kindly call the library in advance. This will allow others on the waiting list to attend the program, as well as prevent waste of materials.

2018 Young Adult Summer Reading Club - Libraries Rock!
In Person Registration beings June 19th

Book Buddies is a drop-in story time. Stay as long (or little) as you like. Wayne Y.A.s entering grades 6 & up are the “Reading Buddies”. They will read to small children during this program.

Open to children ages 3 & up. Online registration starts Monday, July 23rd at 7:00 AM.

Word Winder

Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 3:30—4:30 PM

Get ready for some team fun! WORD WINDER is the game of winding words. Lay down your chips to form winding lines of words connecting one side of the board to the other. Outrace your opponents and block their lines. Strategy & Cunning! Offense, Defense, and Temporary Alliances!

Open to Wayne young adults & kids entering 4th through 8th grade. Online registration starts Wednesday, July 25th at 7:00 AM.

Teen Creates- Cloud Slime

Mia, our CommuniTeen, will be teaching us how to make this unique cloudy slime concoction.

Join us and learn how to make a delicious snack! Natalie, MS, RD, the Retail Dietician from ShopRite of Wayne, will teach us how to make this yummy treat.

CommuniTeens Meet

Fun, friends, and food! Come and use your creative talents and help create the New Books sign for the Young Adult Department.

Knitting Club: Finger Knitting

Finger knitting is simple, fun and easy. Once you know how, you can make lots of wonderful things.

2018 End of Summer Reading Club Young Adult Finale!

Wednesday, August 15, 2018 1:30—3:00 PM (approx.)

Place: Meeting Room at the front of the Wayne Public Library

Let’s celebrate the end of another great Summer Reading Club at the Wayne Public Library with the Spoon Man! Jim has played the spoons all over the world, performing for world leaders and celebrities. We will learn the nuances in the art of spooning as we catch the rhythm of reading. Be ready to be entertained as we clap, tap and dance.

Please remember to bring 2 spoons with you for this event. *Immediately after this event we will celebrate with ice cream/freezer pops.*

Full Program lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Open ONLY to Wayne Young Adults entering grades 6—12  that have logged at least 5 hours in the Summer Reading Club.

After the events of Captain America: Civil War, King T'Challa returns home to the reclusive, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to serve as his country's new leader.
