Programs are held at the Main branch of the Wayne Public Library & Wayne residents get preference for sign-up availability. Registration can be done online by visiting the Event Calendar above, beginning at the designated time on the registration date.

NOTE: If you are unable to attend a program, please kindly call the library in advance. This will allow others on the waiting list to attend the program, as well as prevent waste of materials.

Club for Teens

Tuesday, March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 from 4:00—5:00 PM
A learning experience for teens to develop chess skills & knowledge while playing against other people in a competitive atmosphere. Open to kids ages 9—15 (no experience required).

Online registration for all dates starts Tuesday, February 18th at 7:00 AM.



WPL Y.A. Chess Club

Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 5:30—6:30 PM
Come and develop your strategic skills and challenge a new opponent. Young adults in grades 5—12 are welcome to play chess with each other or with our seasoned players.

*Please note registration deadline ends 2 days before the event. Online registration starts Thursday, February 20th at 7:00 AM.



The Art of Dawn Spring Awakes!

Do you have a gadget you need to know better? Get Device-Advice from our CommuniTeens. Register and bring your portable electronics and questions for one-on-one help.

Maker's Day with Idea Lab

Wayne Public Library is collaboration with Idea Lab Kids is celebrating Maker’s Day! Come join us at the Library for a day of inspiring activities that showcase and highlight Maker’s Day in supporting a STEM culture of innovation and hands-on learning. We will have several stations including Slime Station, 3D Demonstration, Robotics, Investigative Science and Design Engineering.

Open to Wayne children ages 9—12. Drop-in anytime. No registration.



Knit & Nosh for Kids & Teens

Learn the basic skills to create fun knitted projects! Knitting Club is open to beginners or those who want to improve their skills. Please bring your own knitting needles.
