 2021 Passaic County Virtual Senior Art Show - July 1, 2021

The Passaic County Department of Senior Services, Disbility and Veterans Affairs will be holding its Annual Senior Citizen Art Exhibition virtually this year. Artwork will be available to be viewed online or a guidebook can be mailed upon request at the end of the show. Any interested person must be a resident of Passaic County, age 60 and over, entry completed within the past three years and "Show Ready" Artwork will be received "BY APPOINTMENT ONLY" at Senior Services Starting Monday, May 17th through thursday, June 3rd between the hours of 9:00am-4:00pm at 930 Riverview Drive, Suite 200 in Totowa. Please call 973-569-4060 to schedule an appointment. The packet is listed below along with the entry information, please read the entire packet.

Summer Knit, Crochet and Book discussion 

June 28, 2021 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

The meetings will be held as follows: The Summer Knit and Crochet Club and Book Discussion begins on June 28 from 11:00AM - 1:00PM virtually on Zoom.
Meetings will be held as follows: June 28, July 12, July 26, August 2, August 16th.

We will be knitting a Cowl Pattern and, if we have time, a hat to match. - Please email for a copy of the pattern.

The book that we will discuss on Monday August 16th on Zoom is "Knit in Comfort: a Novel" by Isabel Sharpe, I will request paper copies of the book as the date gets closer. For those who prefer a digital version and, are members of a PALS Plus Library, the audiobook and eBook are available on Hoopla.

"Sit, Stand and Be Fit" with d.e.b. (SUMMER SESSION)

Zoom in to do a variety of stretches and strengthening exercises with certified fitness professional Debra Hanoka, MPH ACE, CPT.
(3 times/month at 5pm; please note dates.)

A chair is used for seated and standing exercises and support. This class is designed to increase muscle strength, range of movement and improve activities for daily living. Class can be modified depending on fitness levels. Age should not be a barrier to improve your health!

Equipment: A sturdy chair is needed. Light weights & resistance bands can be used but are optional.
