Dear Wayne Library user,

As you have probably learned, the Overdrive app which you are currently using to access our Overdrive eBook and audiobook collection is being “retired.” This means that the Overdrive app will no longer work after April 2023. It’s being replaced with a new app named Libby.

This new app, Libby, is how we’ll access Overdrive digital materials going forward.

The Libby app is a little different from the Overdrive app and it took me a couple of weeks to get used to it, but once you get the hang of it I think you will find, as I did, that it works just as well as the Overdrive app. All your checkouts and holds will move to the new Libby app and you won't lose your place in line for things you're on hold for.

If you’re using a Kindle Fire device, we definitely recommend making an appointment to come see us because adding Libby to a Kindle Fire is more complicated than if you have an Apple or Android device. So please let us do the hard work for you, so you can just concentrate on the fun stuff like borrowing digital materials!
